What these boats are
Open boats, day cruisers and small yachts from builders such as De Antonio, Sessa, Saxdor, Frauscher and Fjord. Most have a sundeck at the bow, a shaded table at the stern and a cabin below with a bathroom, which is all a day at sea needs.
They are fast and light, so they reach the calas the larger yachts cannot get close to, and they anchor where the bigger boats have to stay outside.
Who they suit
Couples and families, and groups who want the water rather than the boat: a swim at Cala Bassa, lunch at a restaurant on the sand and back to the villa before dinner.
If the group wants shade for the whole day, a proper saloon or cabins to rest in, the motor yachts from twelve metres are the better answer, and we will say so.
Questions about Boat rental in Ibiza
Do I need a licence to rent a boat in Ibiza?
Not with us. Every boat goes out with a professional skipper, included in the price, so nobody in the group needs a licence or has to know the coast.
What is included in the price?
The price on each boat includes the skipper and insurance. Fuel is never included: it is used on the day and charged at cost at the end, with no mark-up, and it depends on the route and the speed. We give you a realistic figure for your route before you book. Tips for the crew are not included either.
Can we go to Formentera on a small boat?
Yes. Formentera is about thirty-five minutes from Ibiza by boat, and a day there is the most common route. On a windy day the skipper may suggest the calas on the sheltered side of Ibiza instead.
We are more than twelve. Can we all go out together?
Spanish rules allow up to twelve passengers on a day charter, however big the boat. A larger group goes out in two boats, and we arrange them to sail together and anchor in the same cala.
Tell us the dates and the group. We will do the looking.
