The coast
Cala Jondal is the address the island is known for: a pebble cala with water clear enough to read from the terrace, and beach clubs that are polished and expensive rather than loud. Around it, Es Cubells sits on the cliff with Formentera on the horizon. Es Torrent is a working cove with one restaurant at the water and no road behind it. Porroig keeps a handful of estates on the headland, mostly behind gates you would drive past without noticing.
Vista Alegre and Sa Carroca climb inland from the coast, set back far enough for privacy and close enough that dinner is a ten-minute drive rather than an expedition.
Who this side suits
It is the fastest side of the island to reach. The airport is about fifteen minutes from most of these houses and Ibiza Town about twenty, which matters more than it sounds when a group lands at different hours across two days.
It suits people who want the water in front of them and a short drive to a table worth booking, rather than a week spent entirely inside the house. If what you are picturing is stone walls and countryside, the campo around Santa Gertrudis is the other answer. Neither is better than the other — they are different weeks, and we will say which one we think you are describing.
