The town side
Cap Martinet is the headland east of Ibiza Town: houses stepped down towards the water, most of them looking back across the water at Dalt Vila lit up after dark. Talamanca is the long beach below it, shallow and calm, with a walk around the marina into the old town. Jesús, just inland, is the village people actually use — bakery, butcher, the shop you forgot you needed — and Can Furnet and Roca Llisa sit behind gates above it.
This is the only part of the island where a house, dinner and the old town are all within a few minutes of each other.
Who this side suits
It suits people who intend to go out. Marina Botafoch and the restaurants around it are a short drive, the old town is walkable from parts of Talamanca, and taxis actually exist here in a way they do not in the countryside.
It also suits mixed groups: the view and the swim are at the house, and whoever wants a late night does not need the whole party to move. If the point of the week is to see nobody, this is the wrong side of the island and we will tell you so.
