The restoration has kept the original architecture and paired it with practical, modern fittings and finishes. The entrance hall, the living room and the kitchen keep their sabina beams and traditional tiled floors, creating cool, calm rooms to retreat to in the heat of the day. The interiors are generous and designed to flow easily between inside and out.

The bedrooms are divided between the main house, where an earthy colour palette sets off the original detailing, and a guesthouse with twin rooms, so each family or group of friends has a space of its own. The whole house is air-conditioned, with wifi and satellite television for anyone who wants to stay connected, and a safe for valuables.

The outside is made for sharing. There is a pool lined with sunloungers, a gazebo with a barbecue, shaded pergolas and several dining areas, so there is always a table in the shade at midday and another placed for the late-afternoon light. The grounds are fenced, with open countryside beyond.
