Villa Perla Blanca

Villa Perla Blanca sits at the top of Can Furnet, a gated residential community, and from up here the whole southern side of the island is laid out in front of you. Dalt Vila rises above the town below, the sea opens up beyond it, and Formentera sits on the horizon.

The house is sized for intimacy rather than scale, a fine fit for one family or two couples who want the view without a large estate to look after. Sunrise and sunset both play out from the terraces, and evenings tend to start early: an aperitif on the pool deck as the colours shift over the old town, then a short drive down for dinner in Ibiza Town. In the morning the light comes in off the sea, and after dark the town lights up below.

A pool deck made for the view

The pool deck is broad and open, with sunloungers, an outdoor bar and a large white Balinese daybed piled with cushions, angled towards the panorama of Ibiza Town and the Mediterranean. The deck has room for everyone to spread out, and after dark the pool's multicolour LED lighting comes on and it becomes the best room in the house. A barbecue and space for dining al fresco make dinner at home just as tempting as a night out.

Two floors of light and a modern kitchen

The house is set over two floors. The kitchen is modern, minimal in design and fully equipped, and it opens onto a living and dining area where large windows bring in natural light all day. A fireplace in the living room makes it the natural meeting point before dinner, or before heading out into the island's famous nightlife.

En-suite bedrooms with sea views

Each bedroom has a modern en-suite bathroom and a view of the sea, and each opens directly onto the terrace or the pool deck. That gives every room the feel of a private suite, with the first swim of the day a few steps from the bed, and nobody has to draw lots for the room with the view. Air conditioning, smart TVs, a music system and a safety box are all in place.

Ibiza Town on your doorstep

Can Furnet is less than ten minutes from the centre of Ibiza Town. Dalt Vila and the island's nightlife are a short drive away, and the journey home is just as short. There is private parking, and a hire car is recommended.

The house suits families, friends travelling together and honeymooning couples who want the town close and the view to themselves.
