Villa Nia

Villa Nia sits close to Cala Jondal, in one of the most sought-after corners of the island. The house faces the cala and the open Mediterranean, with views of the coastline and the surrounding countryside.

Days here fall into an easy shape. A set of tennis before the heat, a long stretch by the pool, lunch under cover on the terrace, and the last of the afternoon light from the shaded chill-out area.

Glass, light and a minimalist interior

The architecture is modern and minimalist. A generous entrance hall leads into a large living room where floor-to-ceiling sliding glass doors bring the sea view right inside and fill the room with Ibiza light. The palette is clean and neutral, the decoration chosen with care, and nothing competes with the outlook. On summer evenings, with the glass doors pulled back, the living room and the terrace become one continuous space.

The kitchen is fully fitted and flows into an open-plan interior dining room for more formal evenings, or straight out to the covered terrace when the table belongs outdoors. A wine cooler keeps the bottles at the right temperature, and there is a music system.

Bedrooms with terraces of their own

The bedrooms follow the same calm, considered style, each with an en-suite or connecting bathroom, and some open onto a private terrace. Early coffee with a sea view becomes a private ritual, and couples within a larger group get a space that is entirely theirs. There is air conditioning and satellite TV.

Private pool, barbecue and a full-size tennis court

Outside, the pool is lined with sunloungers, with a large outdoor dining area and barbecue close by and a shaded chill-out area for the hottest hours of the day. The grounds are gated and fenced, with CCTV, an alarm, a garden and private parking.

Just metres from the main house is a full-size tennis court. Keen players get a proper game every day; everyone else gets a good reason to pick up a racquet again.

A hire car is recommended.

The house suits families, couples and groups of friends, and works particularly well for retreats. Filming is possible.
