Can Chloe

When the sun drops into the sea off the west coast, the best seat in the house is on the roof terrace of Can Chloe, a villa set high above Cala Molí in the San José area of Ibiza. Every evening the horizon turns amber and gold, and the whole house seems arranged around that moment.

The rest of the day keeps its own pace. In the morning, light pours through the kitchen and out onto the breakfast terrace; by midday the pool and the garden take their turn, and the calas along this stretch of coast are so close that choosing between them is the only decision to make.

White walls, natural wood and colour

Inside, the mood is calm and easy. White walls and natural wood form the base, and colourful furnishings bring warmth and character to generous living spaces. The well-equipped kitchen, with its breakfast bar, opens onto a sunlit terrace where a long table catches the first light of the day.

The five bedrooms have air conditioning, and there is a fireplace for mild spring and autumn evenings, satellite TV and a music system that also plays outside.

The atmosphere sits somewhere between refined and relaxed: a house where you can host a proper dinner one evening and wander out barefoot for breakfast the next morning.

Roof terrace, garden and pool

The roof terrace is where the sunset happens: a drink, some music and the sea changing colour in front of you. Below it, the pool with sun loungers, the garden and the lawn leave room for everyone to find a corner, and a dedicated yoga area is there for a morning stretch facing the landscape. Inland, the views open out over the countryside too. Thanks to its raised position, the house holds the west-coast light right up to the last minute of the day.

Meals are taken outside at the al fresco dining area, at whatever pace suits. The grounds are gated, fenced and alarmed.

Cala Molí, Cala Vadella and the sunset coast

Cala Molí, with its pebbled shore, and the sheltered Cala Vadella are both within easy reach, so mornings in the water and evenings by the sea become the daily routine. A hire car makes hopping between calas simple.
