Villa Katherine

Villa Katherine sits near Cala Vadella, on the west coast of Ibiza, with the Mediterranean in front and the hillside of San José behind. The house is spread across three separate buildings, which gives a large family or a group of friends something rare on holiday: long hours together around the pool, and a door of their own to close at night.

The rhythm follows the coast. Mornings are for the calas: Cala Vadella, Cala Tarida, Cala Bassa or Cala Comte, all within easy reach. Afternoons slow down by the pool with a book. Then the light turns gold, the sun drops into the sea, and dinner is served on the terrace with the whole view in front of you.

The main house

The main house is set over two floors and finished in a contemporary style with natural wood. On the ground floor, an open-plan living and dining area is filled with light and framed by views of the sea and the coastline, next to a modern, fully fitted kitchen. Everything opens onto a large sun terrace with an outdoor dining table. The principal bedroom is on this level too, with an en-suite bathroom and a private terrace facing the sea. Upstairs, a double and a twin bedroom share a bathroom, and both look out to sea.

Two casitas with terraces of their own

Beside the pool, the first casita holds a twin and a double bedroom, each with an en-suite bathroom. A lower casita has a further double bedroom with its own bathroom. Both have separate living spaces and private terraces with Balinese daybeds, so anyone who likes to rise at their own pace, or read in peace for an hour, has a place to do it.

Pool, garden and sunsets

The gated, fenced grounds are carefully kept, with a garden and lawn, an outdoor play area for children and a pool lined with sunloungers. The terrace has a chill-out corner and a shaded dining space, and the barbecue does the rest. This is the sunset side of Ibiza, so the end of the day is the main event, watched from the pool or from the dinner table.

Comfort in every season

Air conditioning, central heating and a fireplace make the house as pleasant in spring and autumn as it is in high summer. A dedicated office space, wifi, a smart TV and satellite TV help anyone who needs to stay connected, and there is a safe for valuables. The villa welcomes families, friends, couples and retreat groups, and weddings and filming can be considered by arrangement with the owner. A hire car is recommended to make the most of the coast.
