Can Daphne

At the end of a winding country lane, four minutes from Santa Gertrudis, Can Daphne is an Ibizan finca more than 250 years old, fully renovated and surrounded by valleys planted with fruit trees. There is no passing traffic, only the house, its old tower and the quiet countryside of the island's centre.

Mornings start with breakfast on one of the terraces, looking out over the orchards. Children head for the trampoline while the adults divide their time between the pool and the shade, and in the evening the outdoor kitchen and chill-out corners set the pace for dinners nobody is in a hurry to finish.

The main house and the old tower

From the garden you step into the main house, with a fully equipped open kitchen, a cosy living room and, next door, a second lounge with a pool table. On the ground floor there are bedrooms with showers, one of them en suite. A spiral staircase leads up to the master bedroom, which has its own private terrace with an outdoor bath and shower, plus a full bathroom alongside; another en-suite bedroom shares the same floor.

The old tower holds the guest house, with a sitting area and a small open kitchen, a natural fit for grandparents or a couple who like their own space. The finca also has a laundry room, air conditioning in most rooms, a fireplace, central heating and the latest sound and internet equipment.

Pool, outdoor kitchen and space for children

The saltwater pool, which can be heated on request, is surrounded by child-safe terraces. Beside it, a chill-out corner with a fully equipped outdoor kitchen is made for long lunches in the shade. There is also a yoga deck, a playground with a trampoline, a table tennis table and a games room, so younger guests have a whole world of their own without leaving the grounds.

Several terraces, each with its own dining area, let you choose where to eat each day depending on the light and the breeze.

Santa Gertrudis and the centre of the island

Santa Gertrudis, the island's inland village of art galleries, is four minutes away. Within about ten minutes you can be in Ibiza Town or at some of the best-known beaches and beach clubs, and the airport is around twenty minutes by car. It is a central position that brings the whole island within reach, with private parking on site.
