Villa Brielle

Every evening at Villa Brielle, near Cala Tarida on the west coast of Ibiza, dinner is laid facing the sun. The house looks out over the sea and the rolling countryside of this side of the island, and when the sky turns red over the water, the whole terrace goes quiet for a few minutes.

Recently renovated and filled with light, the villa sits in landscaped grounds of palm trees, tropical plants and lawns, with the white sand of Cala Tarida and Cala Molí a short drive away. Days begin in the breakfast room, carry on around the infinity pool and in the shaded chill-out corners of the garden, and end, always, with the sunset.

Light-filled interiors in a calm palette

Inside, the interiors are contemporary and serene, with a neutral palette and wide windows that frame the landscape from almost every room. The open-plan living and dining areas work equally well for a quiet evening or for the whole group gathered together, and a dedicated breakfast room gives the first meal of the day its own bright corner. The modern kitchen is fully equipped for home cooking, and air conditioning and a music system run through the house.

Bedrooms across the main house and private annexes

The bedrooms are spread across three settings, which gives everyone a choice. On the entrance level, the master bedroom has two en-suite bathrooms, one with a generous shower and the other with a bathtub, and a twin room sits alongside with its own shower room across the hall. Downstairs, the lower-level bedrooms can be set up with twin or double beds, each with its own shower and washbasin. Separate annexes, each with a private entrance and an en-suite bedroom, offer independence to friends, older children or grandparents who like their own space.

Infinity pool, terraces and west coast sunsets

The infinity pool is the centre of the grounds, with panoramic views of the sea and the green landscape, and it can be heated on request (additional charges may apply). Around it, several terraces, shaded lounging areas and soft chill-out spots are scattered through the garden, with sunloungers and a barbecue close at hand. The sunset-facing al fresco dining area is where the day ends.

Cala Tarida and the west coast

The village of San José is a short drive away, and a hire car makes it easy to explore. The fenced grounds, with an alarm, keep the setting private.
