Villa Cala Tarida Rafael

Villa Cala Tarida Rafael is a finca-style house close to Cala Tarida, in Ibiza, with views towards the sunset. Its interiors have been fully redesigned in natural materials and soft, calm tones, and the terraces look out over Mediterranean greenery towards the sea and the curve of the cala.

The day tends to arrange itself around the pool. Breakfast in the shade, a swim before the heat builds, a long lunch outdoors, then a slow afternoon on the lounge bed until the light turns gold and everyone drifts to the terrace with a drink to watch the sun go down over the water.

Traditional finca character, renewed inside

The house keeps the proportions and simplicity of a traditional Ibizan finca, with the comfort of a recent renovation. Natural textures and a quiet colour palette run through the rooms, which stay cool and restful even in high summer. Every bedroom has a king-size bed and air conditioning; one has its own en-suite shower room, while the others share a bathroom with a shower.

One detail sets the layout apart: the kitchen and dining room sit in a separate annex. Cooking and meals happen in their own space, the bedrooms stay calm, and the main house keeps a real sense of privacy, an arrangement that families and friends travelling together tend to appreciate.

Pool, sun decks and the chill-out terrace

The 9 by 5 metre pool is framed by sun decks, with a generous lounge bed for the hottest hours and a wide chill-out area for the evenings. An outdoor dining table sits close by for lunches that run well into the afternoon, and a dedicated play area gives children a corner of their own.

Several terraces spread around the house, so there is always a spot in the sun or in the shade, and some of them look out to Cala Tarida and the sea. On this side of the island the evening belongs to the sunset, and these terraces are where you will want to be when it happens.
