Among the quiet orchards and red-earth tracks of San Lorenzo, in rural Ibiza, Can Cecilia is a newly built villa with the soul of an old island farmhouse. Thick whitewashed walls and timber-beamed ceilings follow the island's building tradition, while the scale of the rooms is made for a large family or a gathering of friends.

An ordinary morning here starts with coffee in the sun-warmed courtyard, the hills of San Lorenzo perfectly still and nowhere you need to be. Once inside these walls, the rest of the island can wait until you are ready for it.

Living rooms, a library gallery and a wine cellar

Inside, everything is generous. Living rooms open into one another, a library gallery offers quiet hours with a book, a dedicated dining room hosts the long dinners and a wine cellar keeps them well supplied. The Siemens kitchen is fully equipped, and the fixtures throughout have been chosen with care.

There are six bedrooms and six bathrooms, and the house has air conditioning, a fireplace and central heating for cooler evenings, Smart TV, satellite TV, a music system and a dedicated office space. There are also facilities for guests with reduced mobility, which matters when several generations travel together.

Pizza oven, jacuzzi and long nights outdoors

This is a house built for evenings outside. The outdoor kitchen, with its pizza oven and barbecue, comes with a bar and a wine cooler, so dinner can start at sunset and carry on without anyone needing to go indoors. Later, there is the outdoor jacuzzi under the stars.

By day, the pool with its sun loungers and the terraces overlooking the countryside set the pace: swim, shade, read, swim again. The grounds are fenced, with an alarm and private parking.

Celebrations, retreats and filming

Can Cecilia accepts events, weddings and filming by prior arrangement, and it welcomes retreat groups. The courtyard, the outdoor dining spaces and the rural setting make a natural stage for an intimate celebration or a week-long retreat. Tell us what you have in mind and we will look at it with you.
