Finca Utopia

Deep in the countryside near San Lorenzo, Finca Utopia is a private estate built around an authentic Ibicencan farmstead some three hundred years old. Around it stretch roughly twenty acres of land, with open fields, edible gardens and distant views of the sea.

It is laid out less like a single villa than a small village of connected spaces, so a group can gather or spread out as the day suggests. Sunrise yoga on the open-air deck, a long lunch under the pergola, tennis in the late afternoon, aperitifs around the fire pit and, for those who want it, music in the cave club until late.

Suites with their own outlook

The en-suite bedrooms are spread between the main finca, a tower and garden casitas, each with its own view over the land. Upstairs in the finca, suites open onto terraces and Juliet balconies over the countryside; on the ground floor, garden suites have private entrances, open-air showers, bathtubs and gardens of their own. The tower suite occupies two levels, with a circular king-size bed, a private lounge and a roof terrace with 360-degree views. All rooms have air conditioning, heating, safes and blackout blinds or wooden shutters.

A long table, a bar and a cave club

The open-plan lounge and dining room has high ceilings and space for everyone at one table, with further indoor and outdoor dining areas for smaller moments. Outside, a large pergola beside an original Ibicencan mill houses a fully equipped bar, a traditional stone pizza oven and a Josper oven; the lower garden adds a fire pit and an Ofyr grill. Carved into the landscape, the soundproofed, air-conditioned cave club has a stone-walled bar, a high-spec sound system with DJ equipment and a home cinema, so a celebration never disturbs the calm of the estate.

Pool, wellness and play

The large oval saltwater pool has step-free access, alongside a children's pool, sun terraces, loungers and open-air showers. A massage and wellness area has its own entrance and a garden chill-out space. For movement, there is a tennis court, a volleyball court, a petanque court, a grass football pitch, a yoga deck, a Mongolian yurt and a Lakota-style teepee, while children have a playground with a treehouse.

Farm to table and celebrations

A large greenhouse and edible gardens, tended with permaculture and biodynamic methods, bring fresh produce to the table. A house manager is present throughout the stay, and the estate runs partly on solar power. It is a natural setting for weddings, milestone birthdays, wellness and creative retreats, and holidays that bring several generations together, with events by arrangement with the owner. San Lorenzo is the nearest village; a hire car is recommended.
