Greenacres

Greenacres is a modern family villa in the countryside outside Santa Gertrudis, in the centre of Ibiza. The house sits behind its own gate, framed by greenery and open fields, and every bedroom has its own bathroom, so mornings run to their own rhythm rather than to a queue.

A day here starts slowly: coffee on the terrace while the countryside is still cool, a first swim before the heat builds, a long lunch in the shade. Later the barbecue is lit and dinner is served outside as the light turns gold over the fields. When you would rather have a table in the village, Santa Gertrudis is about five minutes away by car.

Modern Spanish architecture, open-plan living

The architecture is modern Spanish in character, with clean lines and landscaped grounds leading you up to the house. Inside, a large open-plan living room runs into a dining area sized for the whole party and a fully fitted kitchen that makes self-catered days easy to organise. Air conditioning, wifi and a flat-screen TV take care of the practical side, whatever the season.

The bedrooms are decorated in a contemporary style, with comfortable beds and good linen, and each one is en-suite. It is a layout that works as well for parents with teenagers as for grandparents joining the family for the week, because everyone has a private corner to retreat to after lunch.

Pool, terraces and dinners outside

The private pool sets the pace of the day, ringed by loungers and seating areas, with generous terraces around it so you can move between sun and shade as the hours pass. The barbecue area and the outdoor dining table make the evenings the main event: fish on the grill, conversation that runs late, children stealing one last swim before dessert.

Greenacres is wheelchair friendly and equipped with facilities for guests with reduced mobility. In practice, that means a grandparent or any member of the family with accessibility needs can share the same house, the same pool terrace and the same table as everyone else, which widens the circle of who can come on holiday together.

The property is gated, with an alarm and private parking, so arrivals are simple and cars stay on site throughout your stay.

Central Ibiza within easy reach

From the villa, Ibiza Town is roughly fifteen minutes by car, Talamanca beach about the same, and the airport around twenty. A hire car is the easiest way to enjoy that central position.
