Puesta del Sol

Above Cala Salada, on the west coast of Ibiza, Puesta del Sol lives up to its name every evening. From the pool, the terraces, the living room, the kitchen and the master bedroom, the view runs out across the Mediterranean towards the islets off Cala Conta, and the sun goes down over the water in front of the house.

The setting is a quiet stretch of coast, with the villa gated and fenced inside its own garden and lawn. Mornings begin with the sea still silver below, afternoons drift between the pool deck and the shade of the pergola, and by early evening everyone has already chosen their seat for the sunset.

Living spaces that open to the sea

The interiors are modern and new, bright and comfortable in a relaxed way. The living room opens through a wide sliding glass wall, so the sea is part of the room from breakfast to dinner, and the fully fitted kitchen shares the same view. A fireplace keeps the house warm and welcoming in spring and autumn, and a dedicated office space means a call from Ibiza fits in quietly without taking over anyone's afternoon. Air conditioning, wifi and a smart TV cover the rest.

A main house and a guest wing with its own entrance

The bedrooms are divided between the main house and a separate guest area with a private entrance. The master bedroom, in the main house, wakes up to the sea. The guest bedrooms have their own terrace and a seating area under the shade of the trees, which gives friends, grown-up children or a second couple real independence while everyone still meets around the same pool.

The twelve-metre pool, entered by wide Roman steps, is framed by a wooden deck lined with sunloungers. In front of the living room, a covered terrace holds the dining table and a chill-out lounge: the natural place for a long lunch and, later, for dinner as the sky turns orange and then violet over the islets. Behind the garden, a second pergola adds another shaded corner for reading, a siesta or a glass of wine before dinner. Wherever you settle in the garden, the sea stays in view.

Cala Salada and the west coast

Cala Salada is a one-minute drive away. Cala Gració and Cala Gracioneta are about five minutes by car. San Antonio is the nearest town, and the villages of San José and San Rafael are close as well. A hire car makes the most of the location.
