Villa Gie sits among the pine-covered hills around Cala Salada, with sea views that open towards the sunset. Recently renovated, the house blends modern lines with Moroccan styling in a relaxed boho spirit: lanterns and an artistic touch in every room.

The rhythm of a day here is easy to picture. Yoga on the roof terrace in the cool of the morning, children on the trampoline or at the table tennis, long hours by the pool and a late lunch from the outdoor kitchen. In the evening everyone climbs back to the roof to watch the sun go down over the sea.

Moroccan style, open spaces

The living areas are open plan, with windows placed to catch the light and the landscape. A large, fully equipped kitchen with its own dining table, cosy corners for reading and a comfortable living room all look out over the pines and the water. Air conditioning, smart TVs and a music system are there when needed, without ever stealing attention from the view.

Bedrooms named after the winds

Each bedroom carries the name of a wind, from Libeccio and Scirocco on the upper level to Maestrale and Zefiro below. Every room has its own en-suite bathroom and its own Bluetooth speaker, and several can be made up with a super king bed or as twins. Maestrale, the master bedroom, adds a steam room in its shower, while other rooms open onto the pool terrace or a private terrace. Cots are available for families travelling with babies.

Pool, outdoor kitchen and roof terrace

Sun terraces surround the pool on several sides, with sun loungers and seating areas for every hour of the day. The outdoor kitchen and barbecue make it easy to cook and eat outside, and the chill-out areas, with table tennis and a garden trampoline, keep younger guests busy. Up on the roof terrace the sea view is at its widest, and the yoga mats kept at the house make it the natural place to start the day. At night the same terrace becomes the best spot for a last drink under the stars.

San Antonio

San Antonio, with its restaurants and sunset music bars, is a short drive away, and a hire car makes it easy to explore the rest of the island.
