Villa Ivy

Villa Ivy lies in gated grounds in the San José area of Ibiza, a few minutes from Cala Tarida, with the sea and countryside all around. Sunset is the house's daily ritual, watched from the pool, the terraces, the wide windows and, best of all, the roof terrace.

Inside, cool cottons and bleached wood set a relaxed coastal tone; outside, the day unfolds between the salt water pool, the shade of the trees and the garden. Children vanish into the tree house or onto the trampoline, adults slip away to the massage area or open a bottle from the wine cooler, and everyone meets again on the roof as the sky changes colour.

Coastal interiors and a professional kitchen

Contemporary furniture, artwork and considered lighting give the interiors a polished yet relaxed feel. The kitchen, with sleek steel fittings and units, is built to a professional standard and leads into an open-plan dining space made for sociable evenings. Underfloor and central heating keep the house comfortable well beyond summer, with air conditioning for the warmest weeks.

Every bedroom has an en-suite or connecting bathroom, and each looks out either over the sea and the sunset or over the surrounding woodland. Most also have a private terrace of their own.

Salt water pool, four-poster beds and the roof terrace

The salt water pool is surrounded by wide day beds, and two four-poster beds sit in the shade of the trees for the hottest part of the day. Close by, an outdoor dining area with a barbecue hosts long lunches, and an outdoor music system carries the mood into the night. Illuminated steps lead up to the roof terrace, the best seat on the property at sunset. The pool can be heated on request (additional charges may apply).

Play for children, wellbeing for adults

The house is set up for families with children of different ages: a tree house, a trampoline, an outdoor play area, table tennis and plenty of garden to explore. For the adults there is a gym, a yoga area, a massage area, a wine cooler and a cool room.

The different areas are spread out enough for younger children to play while adults enjoy a quiet corner of their own, so the house works as well for families spanning several generations as for friends travelling together.

Cala Tarida and San José

Cala Tarida, home to the Cotton Beach Club restaurant, is only a few minutes away, and the village of San José is a short drive. The rest of the island is easy to explore by hire car, and the house also suits retreat groups looking for space and calm.
