Yes: you can rent a luxury villa in Ibiza and add a private boat with a professional skipper for one day or several. The two are arranged together, so the dates, the marina and the group fit one plan. Fuel is the one cost that is not included: it is settled at cost after the day, and we give you a realistic figure for your route before you commit.
Can you really rent a villa and a boat together?
You can. The villa and the boat are two separate rentals, each with its own owner, and the usual way to book them is one after the other with two different companies. At Singular Villas Ibiza we organise both, so you choose the house first and then the day on the water that suits the group. If you are still choosing the house, start with our villas and tell us at the same time that a boat day is part of the plan.
How do you add a boat day to a villa stay?
Three steps, in this order:
- Choose the villa and the week. The area matters less than people think, because the boats leave from the marinas, not from the house. Our boats are based in Marina Port Ibiza and Marina Botafoc, both in Ibiza Town.
- Choose the day. Most guests keep one day for Formentera and, on a longer stay, a second quiet day along the coast, with a stop in a cala such as Cala Jondal, Cala Conta or Cala Salada.
- Choose the boat by group size. A day charter is limited to 12 passengers by Spanish maritime rules, whatever the builder lists. A boat such as the Predator 72 BOSS takes up to 12 guests for a day charter and is crewed by a professional team.
You can browse the fleet in our yachts, and our team will suggest the boat that fits your dates and your group.
What does the boat include, and what does it not?
Every boat in our fleet includes a professional skipper and insurance. The price we publish for a boat already has the skipper inside it; the skipper is never an extra.
Not included, on any boat: fuel and tips for the crew. Fuel is consumed on the day of the charter and settled at the end, at cost and with no mark-up, because Singular earns nothing on fuel. What it comes to depends on the route and the speed: a calm day along the south coast and a return trip to Formentera are not the same bill. That is why we tell you a realistic figure for your route before you decide, and not after.
How long does it take to reach Formentera by boat?
About 35 minutes from Ibiza. That is short enough to leave after breakfast, spend the middle of the day at anchor off Formentera and be back at the villa for dinner. We wrote the full guide to the crossing, the calas and the rules for anchoring in our article on Formentera by boat from Ibiza.
What if your group is larger than 12?
A tourist-licensed villa accepts up to 12 guests, and a day charter carries up to 12 passengers. For a larger group there are two clean solutions: two nearby villas and two boats sailing together, or a property from our private collection, shown on request. Tell us the number and we will propose the version that keeps everyone close.
When should you book?
Summer is decided between October and March. The best boats and the best houses are the first to go, and fixing the villa and the boat day at the same time avoids the situation where one is free and the other is not. To pick the cala for your boat day, read our guide to the calas of Ibiza and when to choose each one.
Next step
Send us your dates and the size of the group through our contact page. We will come back with a villa, a boat and a realistic fuel estimate for the route you have in mind, with no pressure to decide.
